9 journeys of discovery by bike -downloadable leisurely day or half day mainly road routes offering the best of the Peak District on two wheels. With it's diverse scenery and extensive network of quiet lanes and roads, the Peak District is ideal for touring.
The White Peak is a spectacular landscape of open views across hills and dales, criss-crossed by drystone walls that enclose farmland.
There are four routes to choose from, the High Peak and Tissington Trails, Route 54 and the Manifold Track.

The Manifold Track is a 9 mile tarmac track along a disused railway from Hulme End to Waterhouses. A section between Swainsley and Wetton Mill is used by traffic (single track) and containsa tunnel 100m long at Swainsley; this is illuminated but still quite dark with small passing places to avoid vehicles.
Route 54A joins Middleton Top to Tissington via about 10 miles of country roads. There is an additional route around Carsington Water of around 8 miles.
The Monsal Trail is a traffic free route for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and wheelchair users through some of the Peak District’s most spectacular limestone dales.
The trail runs along the former Midland Railway line for 8.5 miles between Blackwell Mill, in Chee Dale and Coombs Road, at Bakewell.
