Cycling in the Peak District. All you need to plan your day out.
Whether it's been 20 years since you've sat on a bike, you've never ridden, or feel you can't for health reasons we have a bike to suit you and patient experienced trainers who will get you riding even if it's just for a short way.
The Peak District National Park has 58 miles of off-road cycling trails and hundreds more quiet country routes, and is less than an hour away for 30% of the population of England
So there is bound to be something for you to enjoy family friendly cycling in the beautiful surroundings of national park countryside.
Take a look at our range of bikes to see that cycling can be as comfy and safe and you need it to be, and then find a route near where you want to go to get started.
No bike?
No bike, no problem! If you're on holiday in the Peak District, have few occasions where you'd cycle or don't have the space to store one, come to one of our cycle hire centres at Ashbourne (south of the Park), Parsley Hay (between Ashbourne and Buxton) or by Derwent valley (near to Sheffield) and hire one of ours.
Hiring a bike even several times a year is much cheaper than buying, storing and maintaining one and can make your journey much easier and hassle free.
Our bikes are well maintained and regularly serviced, and come with a repair kit and helmet as standard.
Trailers, tag-alongs and child seats are also available for hire through the centres.
Bike in need of some TLC?
Chains get rusty, tyres go down - it's natural and happens to every bike.
A 20 minute service can transform a bike and make it rideable again. Why not take a look at our guides on how to service your bike or book yourself in at one of our demonstration events where we'll teach you how to do it yourself.
